Ivan Bernar

Ivan Bernar currently serves as Associate Director CMC and CMC Lead at BioNTech SE, overseeing the development of CMC strategy for two immuno-oncology assets. Previously, Ivan held the role of Project Manager for CMC&GMP Drug Product, managing various operational activities related to small molecule outsourcing. At Ardena, Ivan led the process development of seven APIs while working with senior-level team leads and clients. Ivan’s academic background includes a PhD and post-doctoral research in Organic Chemistry from Radboud University Nijmegen, where innovative catalytic methodologies were developed. Other experience includes internships at Sanofi, The Scripps Research Institute, and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Organic Chemistry from Freie Universität Berlin and a Bachelor's degree from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
