Jan Patrick Bogen

Jan Patrick Bogen currently serves as Associate Director of Protein Engineering at BioNTech SE, a position held since April 2021, after previously working as a Scientist in the same field. Prior to this, Jan Bogen advanced academic and industry experience as a PhD Student at Technische Universität Darmstadt from September 2018 to March 2021, where expertise in antibody hit discovery, humanization, and biologic activity assays was developed. Concurrently, consultancy work at Ferring Pharmaceuticals involved antibody discovery and hit characterization through advanced techniques such as yeast surface display and next-generation sequencing. Jan Bogen earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and holds Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Biomolecular Engineering and Biotechnology, respectively, all from Technische Universität Darmstadt and Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences.
