Karsten Beckmann

Karsten Beckmann is an experienced professional in the biopharmaceutical sector, currently serving as Executive Director for MAP at BioNTech SE since April 2019, with previous roles as Senior Director and Director in the same department. Prior to this, Beckmann held the position of Director of Project Operations at MAB Discovery from July 2016 to March 2019 and served as a Project Manager at U3 Pharma GmbH/Daiichi Sankyo for seven years, focusing on preclinical development in oncology and related therapeutic areas. Earlier academic positions include Postdoctoral Scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry, PHD student at EMBL, and Associate Scientist at Charité and the Medical Research Council. Beckmann holds a Diplom degree in Genetics, Molecular Biology, and Cell Biology from Technische Universität Braunschweig.
