Manuel Zerbs

Manuel Zerbs is an accomplished manager and research specialist with extensive experience in laboratory management and research. Currently serving as a manager at BioNTech SE since April 2023, Manuel previously held the position of Senior Research Assistant at Valneva from May 2021 to February 2023, specializing in quality control analytics, analytical test validation, and cellular immune assays under BSL-2 and BSL-3 conditions. Prior to that, Manuel worked at HOOKIPA Pharma Inc., contributing to preclinical R&D, including in vivo and in vitro testing of immunotherapeutics. Manuel's career began at Intercell as a research assistant and lab manager, focusing on vaccine development, before progressing through roles at Arsanis, involving monoclonal antibody development and in vivo studies. Manuel holds a Diplom degree in Biology from the University of Vienna, earned from 1996 to 2005.
