Michael Wenger

Michael Wenger is a seasoned Clinical Development and Medical Affairs executive with over 20 years of combined industry and academic experience in hematology and oncology. Currently serving as VP of Clinical Development at BioNTech SE since October 2022, Michael previously held several prestigious roles at Novartis, including Vice President Clinical Development Head for Hematology and Vice President for Therapeutic Area Head in Oncology Solid Tumors from June 2019 to October 2022. Prior experience includes Senior Group Medical Director positions at Roche and Genentech, with various leadership roles at Roche from July 2007 to May 2019. Michael earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from The University of Freiburg and has additional educational experience at the University of Missouri-Columbia, School of Medicine.
