Pascal Gellert

Pascal Gellert is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in bioinformatics and IT, currently serving as Associate Director IT TSF Product Owner at BioNTech SE since July 2016. In this role, Pascal leads a talented team in designing innovative solutions for scientific communities while ensuring user-centric design. Previously, Pascal contributed to BioNTech’s individualized Neoantigen Specific Immunotherapy platform as Associate Director of Bioinformatics Integration and Operations, focusing on bioinformatics pipeline development for large-scale NGS data analysis. Earlier positions include Deputy Head of Bioinformatics and Bioinformatics Scientist, where Pascal developed a codon optimization tool and integrated it into existing systems. With previous experience as a Senior Bioinformatician at Molecular Health GmbH and a Senior Bioinformatics Officer at The Institute of Cancer Research, Pascal has a strong foundation in data analysis and project management. Educational credentials include a PhD in Bioinformatics from Goethe University Frankfurt and a Diplom in Bioinformatics from the University of Applied Sciences of Giessen.
