Robert Jones is a Professor of Hepatobiliary Surgery at the University of Liverpool and serves as the Bowel Cancer UK research lead for advanced colorectal cancer. They are currently the UK Chief Investigator for the BNT-122 mRNA cancer vaccine trial and Co-Lead for Cancer Vaccine Innovation at NIHR. Since 2019, Robert has practiced as a Consultant Hepatobiliary Surgeon at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and has held various other positions in medical research and healthcare. Robert earned a Ph.D. in Oncology and Cancer Biology from the University of Liverpool and completed their medical degree at The University of Manchester.
