Tolga Tuncel

Tolga Tuncel, MD, is an Associate Professor of Medical Oncology with extensive experience in both clinical and pharmaceutical settings. Currently serving as the Senior Medical Director of Clinical Development at BioNTech SE, Tolga leads the design and execution of clinical programs in oncology while focusing on innovative treatment strategies for solid tumors. With over eight years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including roles at AstraZeneca and TRPHARM, Tolga has a strong background in medical strategy and regulatory processes, particularly in the development of therapies for rare diseases. After earning their medical degrees and specialized training at Gata Haydarpasa Training Hospital, Tolga dedicated over a decade to clinical practice as a medical oncologist.
