Bioroof Systems offers a suite of green roof systems that fulfill the goals of high biodiversity and storm water retention, reduction of urban heat island effect, and reduced energy consumption. Our green roof systems utilize unique growing media that is able to support plantings which produce the habitat required for wildlife to flourish.

The result? Self-sustaining indigenous environments without the need for chemicals or pesticides, producing quantifiable cooling benefits. Near zero runoff, with what little run off that occurs free of urban toxins such as chlorinated and non-chlorinated hydrocarbons. A better green roof for a better future.

Bioroof has been involved with several innovative and high profile green roof projects including the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa; the Canadian Museum of Human Rights in Winnipeg; the TTC McNicoll Bus Garage in Markham (the largest modular green roof in North America) and as a lead consultant on the critically acclaimed GritLab research project with the University of Toronto's Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design.

Bioroof offers a complete line of green roof systems to achieve remarkable storm water retention results and support the habitat required for wildlife and pollinators, while still reducing urban heat island effect and energy consumption. With millions of square feet of green roof installed since 2006, Bioroof is a truly North American solution for the green roof marketplace, carrying the ideals of a robust environmental philosophy throughout our green roof solution.
