Lorena Alvarez

Lorena Alvarez is an experienced engineering technician with a comprehensive background in electro-mechanical and optical assembly. Currently serving as an Engineering Technician at BIOS Lighting since August 2019, Lorena’s previous roles include Senior Electrical Technician in R&D at Ostendo Technologies and Manufacturing Technician at Palomar Technologies, where responsibilities involved assembling advanced optical and electro-mechanical systems. Earlier experience includes roles at Cymer as an Electrical Engineering Technician, troubleshooting and testing laser sub-systems, and at GenMark Diagnostics as a Lab Technician. Lorena’s career also includes extensive experience as a Laser Technician at Melles Griot, where nine different laser models were assembled and tested, and as an Optical Mechanical Technician at Rockwell Collins, focusing on pilot training simulator systems for the US Air Force.
