Gregory Barchard has over 14 years of experience in software engineering. Gregory began their career in 2006 as a Research Student at Carnegie Mellon University, where they designed and analyzed GaN and SiC analog circuits for high temperature sensor applications and studied the sensitivity and selectivity of carbon nano-tubes as sensors for various hydrocarbon based gases. Gregory then worked as an Intern at SigmaTel in 2006. In 2009, they worked as a Software Engineer II at Raytheon and as a Lead Software Engineer at Chillidog Software. In 2010, they worked as a Software Engineer at BuySellAds.com. In 2014, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Vitals, where they led the front and backend development of the uCompareHealthcare website, designed and developed a unit testing suite, architected a PHP networking and cache layer, led a research and development effort, integrated analytics event tracking, designed, developed and integrated an A/B testing framework, and re-designed internal content management tools. In 2015, they worked at BioSensics LLC as Vice President of Engineering and Principal Software Engineer, where they led the development of a clinical trial platform for studying the effectiveness of new drugs within pharmaceutical companies, was the principal Android developer supporting 2 NIH funded studies, was the technical and product design lead on CliQ, a habit tracking product, led and managed the re-design of sensor hardware, architected an efficient and re-usable software library, and led the design, characterization and prototyping for a DOD funded sleep study.

Gregory Barchard received a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Northeastern University in 2006, and a Master of Science (MS) in Applied Physics from Carnegie Mellon University in 2009.
