Peter Timmerman

Peter Timmerman is an accomplished professional in the field of peptide science, currently serving as the Head of Peptide Science and Chief Scientific Officer at Biosynth since September 2001, where responsibilities include overseeing the peptide-manufacturing business, scientific programs, technology, and research activities. Previously, Peter held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Pepscan Therapeutics, focusing on therapeutic peptides and antibodies, as well as Director of Chemistry, where new peptide-fixation technologies were developed. Academic roles include part-time Professor at the University of Amsterdam, supervising both undergraduate and graduate students, and Assistant Professor at the University of Twente in the Supramolecular Chemistry & Technology Group. Peter earned a PhD in Supramolecular Chemistry from the University of Twente, along with additional degrees from ETH Zürich, Università degli Studi di Parma, and VU Amsterdam.
