Ana Sánchez Cano has a diverse range of work experience in various research and scientific roles. Ana started their career as a Researcher Assistant on PneumoImmunology at IDIBELL in 2012. Ana then went on to work as a Trainee Student and later as an MSc Student at IBB UAB, where they focused on studying lipid-modified antigen generation in human pancreatic β-cells under stress.

In 2020, Ana had a Research Internship at Colorado State University, where they were involved in the development of low-cost devices for the diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 and the production of a laminated low-cost device to simplify handling and increase result objectivity in agglutination assays.

Most recently, in 2021, Ana joined BioSystems as an R+D+i Scientist.
