⚡️ Dean Light

Dean Light has a diverse work experience in the fields of bioinformatics and software development. ⚡️ Dean is the co-founder and CTO of BiotaX since 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a software architect and project manager at the Technion Data & Knowledge Lab (TDK) from 2019. During their time at TDK, they managed several projects, focusing on information extraction with logical constraints. ⚡️ Dean'sresponsibilities included software architecture, algorithm design, project management, and requirement analysis.

Before joining TDK, Dean worked at the Lamm lab in Technion from 2015 to 2018. In this role, they served as a team leader in bioinformatics, where they designed algorithms and data pipelines for high throughput sequencing data analysis. ⚡️ Dean also worked as a bioinformatician, building scripts, and algorithms for automating data analysis and developing computational pipelines. Dean has a strong background in deriving system specifications from biological researchers to build long-term user-centric systems.

Dean Light attended Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from 2014 to 2018, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. During the same period, they also earned another Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the same institution. Later, in 2018, Dean pursued a Master of Science degree in Bioinformatics from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, which they completed in 2019.
