Suzanne Cotillon

Suzanne Cotillon is a highly experienced professional in biodiversity, conservation, and geographic information systems (GIS). Currently serving as a Technical Advisor and Biodiversity Consultant in the International Office at Biotope since June 2018, Suzanne specializes in ecosystem services assessment, nature-based solutions, and environmental impact assessments. Prior to Biotope, Suzanne was a Senior Scientist and Geographer at the U.S. Geological Survey, where key contributions included coordinating a major atlas on land use dynamics in West Africa and developing tools for land cover mapping. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Agronomy and Life Sciences from ENSAT and a Master of Science in Geography from South Dakota State University. Earlier roles included research internships and teaching assistance, reflecting a solid foundation in environmental studies and geographic analysis.
