Biotron Energy Inc. began its research into biopolymer-based high-capacity energy storage systems in 2018 in Ukraine, later continuing this work in Georgia. In 2023, the company expanded to the United States. Our innovation focuses on the use of plant-derived biopolymers as cathode active materials, replacing traditional transition metals such as cobalt, manganese, and nickel. This approach significantly reduces the carbon footprint while enabling high specific capacity and energy density - opening the door to the development of next-generation, high-performance batteries.
