Barbara Widmann

Barbara Widmann is the Director of Medical Affairs for Heart Disease at BIOTRONIK, a position they have held since 2022. They previously served in various roles at BIOTRONIK, including Clinical Project Manager and Medical Affairs Manager. Prior to joining BIOTRONIK, Barbara was the Head of Clinical Affairs at Congenius AG and a Clinical Project Lead at Zimmer, where they conducted international multi-center trials and supported new product development. They earned a Master of Science and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from ETH Zurich, where they also worked as a PhD student and postdoc, focusing on the characterization of a novel protein kinase in ribosome biogenesis.
