Prateek M. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. In 2019, they founded and became the CEO of BIOWEG, a science-based company focused on environmentally friendly ingredients. Prateek also served as an Adjunct Lecturer of Entrepreneurship at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover beginning in 2022.
Prateek M. has also worked as an Entrepreneur in Residence at the Berlin Institute of Health, where they worked on a project called "BodyTime" that aimed to create healthy and sustainable ecosystems.
Prior to these roles, they worked at EY for three years, where they held various positions including Engagement Manager, EY Sector Manager, and EY Innovation Trainer. In these roles, they focused on corporate strategy, project portfolio management, digital transformation, and innovation strategy.
Prateek has also been involved in other organizations such as eLife Sciences Publications Ltd, Agency for Science and Higher Education, EOG Smartpatch (Start-up), Paperity, and Max Planck PhDnet, where they held roles such as Advisory Member, Consultant, Co-Founder, Manager, and President/Spokesperson.

Prateek M. started their education journey in 2005 at Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, where they obtained a Bachelor of Technology degree in Biotechnology in 2009. In 2008, they pursued a Research Fellowship in Transplant Immunology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
Prateek then went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Neuroscience at Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg from 2009 to 2011. Prateek M. further continued their education at the Max Planck Society, specifically at the Max Planck Institute for Developmental Biology, where they earned their PhD degree in 2016.
In 2014, Prateek M. attended the Institut Pasteur for an Advances in stem cell biology program. Additionally, in 2015, they participated in the Entrepreneurship Summer school program at the University of Tübingen, focusing on Medtech Innovation for a period of 100 days.
