Jon Koenig

Jon Koenig is a seasoned geoscience consultant currently working with Birch Resources and as the principal owner of Lago Verde Exploration LLC, where Jon provides expertise in strategy and leadership, emphasizing subsurface evaluations for value-driven decisions. With extensive experience in unconventional development and exploration across the United States and deepwater exploration in international basins, Jon has held significant roles including Exploration Manager for Oxy and Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, managing subsurface evaluations, government negotiations, and drilling programs in Colombia, Peru, and various U.S. basins. Jon's educational background includes a Master of Science in Petroleum Geology from Baylor University and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
