Jonathon Ellis

Jonathon Ellis is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as Partner - Disputes and Investigations at Bird & Bird since March 2022. In this role, Jonathon is the International Co-Head of the Aviation & Defence sector and leads the Defence & Security sub-sector, while also heading Disputes and Investigations in Australia. Prior to joining Bird & Bird, Jonathon held various positions including Partner - Litigation and Regulatory and Special Counsel at DLA Piper from June 2016 to March 2022, and Senior Associate in Litigation and Dispute Resolution at Ashurst from December 2011 to June 2016. Previous experience includes roles at R20 Limited as Adviser, at Ogier as Associate, at King & Wood Mallesons as Solicitor, and at Minter Ellison as Lawyer. Jonathon holds an LLB (Hons) in Law and a degree in Arts from Bond University, completed from January 2001 to December 2003.
