Chris Skinner

Chris Skinner, P.Eng, GSC, CEC, is a seasoned Senior Estimator at Bird Construction since April 2014, specializing in heavy civil construction within the earthworks, mining, concrete, and hydroelectric sectors. Responsibilities include proposal development, coordination of public tenders, budgetary estimates, tender scheduling, and project pre-qualification. Prior experience includes roles as Project Engineer, Junior Estimator at Bird Construction, and Junior Project Coordinator at North American Construction Group. Additionally, Chris has worked as a Materials Technologist and Senior Asphalt Technologist at Amec Foster Wheeler, and as a Junior Engineer/Drill Inspector at SNC-Lavalin. An educational background includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering, a Bachelor of Technology in Applied Science Engineering Technology, and a Civil Engineering Technology diploma, all attained from institutions in Newfoundland and Labrador.
