Jon Thompson is a seasoned construction professional with extensive experience in leadership roles. Currently serving as Senior Vice President for Ontario Buildings at Bird Construction since October 2017, Jon has previously held the position of Vice President - District Manager. Jon contributed to the Ontario General Contractors Association as a Board Member from December 2016 to October 2017, representing a significant portion of the construction industry's interests in Ontario. Prior to this, Jon gained valuable experience at EllisDon, where responsibilities ranged from Vice President Operations to Senior Project Manager, overseeing operational efficiency and project execution. Additional experience includes roles at Aecon Group Inc. as Project Manager and Dufferin Construction as Project Engineer. Jon holds an Ontario College Advanced Diploma in Architectural Technology - Construction Management from Mohawk College.
