Jack Cheap

Jack Cheap is the founder of Groundswell Advisory since July 2023, specializing in advising startup leaders on operations and finance, with expertise in fundraising, M&A, organizational design, planning, and process improvement. Prior to this, Jack Cheap served as Vice President and Head of Business Operations & Strategy for North America at Bird from 2018 to 2023, where responsibilities included leading and rebuilding the Business Operations team. Previously, Jack Cheap held roles in Corporate Development at Bird, focused on fundraising and corporate strategy, and worked as an investor at B Capital Group, contributing to the firm's initial fundraising efforts. Earlier experience includes consulting at Bain & Company and an internship at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Jack Cheap holds a B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Southern California.
