Jay Williams

Jay Williams is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in data engineering and real-time data processing. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Bird since May 2019, Jay specializes in Flink jobs and backend code development to support product requirements. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Data Engineer and Data Engineer at Red Ventures, where Jay utilized Kinesis and Spark for real-time data analytics, as well as a Data Engineer at Bankrate, contributing to a data warehouse project with Airflow and Redshift. Earlier positions include a Software Engineer role at Malachiarts, focusing on web and operational upgrades, and a postdoctoral associate position in mathematics at Caltech, specializing in descriptive set theory.
