Yang joined Birdeye to lead the finance, strategy and legal teams as the company continues to deepen its success as the platform of choice for marketers to convert experiences into revenue.
She joined Birdeye after having served as CFO for three start-up companies at various stages and partnered with their leadership teams to drive strategic growth and optimize operational efficiency. In these CFO roles, Yang raised multiple rounds of financing, scaled these companies through rapid growth, established strong business partnerships cross-functionally, and built/enhanced financial and operational infrastructure.
Yang started her career at Motorola, where she rotated across many different functions to build up a solid business foundation. During her nine years that followed at Gogo, Yang made significant contributions in funding the start-up through its high-growth, high cash-use period by executing multiple financings that raised $1B in total. In her role as VP of Finance, she provided significant financial strategy and oversight to scale the company from $20M to $600M in revenue and from 100 to 1,500 employees. Yang led key initiatives in Gogo’s 2013 IPO process and its post-IPO earnings releases and conference calls.
