Steven Hess

Steven Hess has a diverse work experience in the pharmacy industry. Steven currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Birdi, a healthcare company with a unique perspective on pharmacy services. Prior to this, they were the EVP/GM of SpotRx at MedAvail Technologies, where they focused on improving patient experience and outcomes in the retail pharmacy industry. Steven also served as the Chief Pharmacy Officer at MedMinder and Executive Vice President of Operations and Technology at Apotheco Pharmacy Group. Before that, they held leadership positions at Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy, Option Care, and OptumRx. Steven's earlier career included roles such as Director of Pharmacy Operations at Catamaran, and Senior Director of Pharmacy Operations at Evanston Northwestern Healthcare. Steven began their career as a co-owner and pharmacist at Health-Rite Pharmacy and Clarkville Drugs.

Steven Hess obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the Medical University of South Carolina, where they studied from 1979 to 1981. Steven'sfield of study was focused on becoming a pharmacist.
