Bird’s Eye Impact helps nonprofits, small to midsize mission-driven organizations, and civic-facing teams understand where they sit inside the community ecosystem—so they can operate with clarity, build smarter partnerships, and accelerate their impact.

Most organizations know their mission.
Many know their beneficiaries.
But few can see the full landscape of civic systems, community supports, partners, and competitors that shape every opportunity ahead of them.

We solve that visibility gap.

Our work is built on the 3-Layer Context Map, a framework that reveals the environment surrounding any organization:

1. Civic Layer

We map the elected districts and civic supports that directly influence your geography—City Council districts, County precincts, State House and Senate districts, libraries, parks, transit, public safety, health, and education anchors. Understanding this layer shows where power, funding, and public assets intersect with your mission.

2. Collaborative Layer

We identify the organizations positioned to strengthen your work: service providers, schools, faith communities, housing and health partners, workforce programs, and anchor institutions. Collaboration becomes easier and more strategic when you know who is operating around you.

3. Competitive Awareness Layer

Every organization has neighbors in the work. We show you “like” organizations, overlapping missions, and service gaps—so you can refine your message, differentiate your value, and position your work effectively in a crowded landscape.

These three layers come together in the Bird’s Eye Atlas, our flagship deliverable. The Atlas includes maps, insights, and a narrative baseline analysis that helps boards, funders, civic leaders, and staff see the full picture of your community context. It becomes a strategic roadmap for partnership development, messaging, fundraising, and program alignment.

We also provide stakeholder presentations, slide decks, uMap interactive layers, and additiona
