Rob Ferguson has diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Rob started their career at AMEC in 2006 as an Instrumentation Design Apprentice and later worked as a Data Capture Technician. Rob then moved on to work as an Overhead Lines Technician at AMEC from 2013 to 2014. In 2014, they joined Gyrodata as a Field Engineer for the EAC region, where they conducted gyroscopic and magnetic surveying of wellbores in various locations. Rob later became a Field Engineer in Saudi Arabia from 2015 to 2018, and then a Directional Survey Specialist from 2018 to 2020, specializing in gyroscopic directional surveying of oilfield wells. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Field Engineer at BiSN since December 2020.
Rob Ferguson's education history includes a range of qualifications in engineering. Rob started their education in 2006 at Hartlepool College of Further Education, where they obtained an ONC degree in Operations & Maintenance Engineering. In 2008, they enrolled at Middlesbrough College and completed an HNC degree in Control & Instrumentation Engineering by 2009. Continuing their education, Rob attended NETA Training College in Stockton-on-Tees from 2006 to 2010, earning an NVQ Level 3 in Design & Draughting. Rob then pursued further studies at Leicester College from 2010 to 2012 and received an HND in Manufacturing Engineering. Finally, Rob attended the University of Derby from 2012 to 2013 and graduated with a BEng Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering.
