Senior Software Developer at Bit

David First has a diverse work experience in software development and IT. Starting in 2006, they worked as an IT & Manager at Mega Computers, where they gained experience in configuring Windows Server 2003, Active Directory, DNS, routers, and fixing software and hardware problems. From 2008 onwards, they managed a computer repair lab and provided support to private customers and businesses. In 2009, they founded their own company called Bigtech, where they developed a desktop application for managing a computer repair lab. David then worked as a Drupal PHP Developer at CodeOasis LTD. from 2010 to 2011, developing large-scale websites using the Drupal framework. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Software Engineer at HP Software, where they developed and maintained the HP Live Network. David then returned to CodeOasis LTD. in 2012 as a Senior Developer and developed the Wix App Market, which included several components in Drupal and Symfony 2. David also developed 3rd party applications for the Wix App Market. Finally, from 2012 to 2016, they worked as a Senior Software Developer at Crown Philanthropic Solutions, where they developed and maintained the DonorFirst product, a SaaS solution for managing philanthropic accounts. In 2016, they joined Bit as a Senior Software Developer, where they developed an open source tool called "Bit" that is available on GitHub and written in TypeScript.

David First received their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Jerusalem College of Technology, where they studied from 2007 to 2010. Prior to that, they obtained their Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification in Windows Server 2003 from Microsoft, during the period of 2005 to 2006.
