Daniel Pearce is a seasoned scientist with extensive experience in stem cell research and manufacturing development. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist in Manufacturing Development at bit.bio since November 2020, Daniel previously took a career break from December 2018 to November 2020 for travel in Southeast Asia and Canada. Prior to this, Daniel worked at the Wellcome Sanger Institute as a Senior Research Assistant, where the focus was on producing induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and establishing protocols for their differentiation. At UCL, Daniel held the positions of Lecturer and Group Leader, leading a laboratory studying the effects of ageing on somatic stem cells. Daniel's career also includes a Research Fellow role sponsored by the RCUK, focusing on the biology of ageing, and a Postdoctoral Researcher position at Cancer Research UK, where research centered around haematopoietic stem cells.
