Euan Yates has a diverse background in scientific research. Euan started in 2016 as a Student Researcher at the University of Plymouth, where they contributed to the development of a lymphocyte proliferation assay and conducted research on immune profiling of patients with severe alcoholic hepatitis. In 2019, they rejoined the Hepatology Research Group as a Research Technician, focusing on the effect of oxidative stress in alcohol-related liver disease and the potential benefits of zinc supplementation. Currently, in 2023, Euan is working as a Scientist at Bit Bio.

Euan Yates pursued a Bachelor's degree in Biology, General from the University of Bath, completing their studies from 2014 to 2018.
