Joon Leng Boon has diverse work experience in the field of life sciences. They started their career as a Research Assistant at Sanofi Genzyme in 2007 and eventually became a Senior Research Associate. They were responsible for designing strategies, performing high throughput selection and screening, culturing bacteria, and analyzing data using various software. Joon then worked as a Scientist at Lonza, where they gained further expertise.

In 2015, Joon joined Antitope Ltd, An Abzena Company, as a Research Manager. They were involved in strategy designing, project planning, and execution, with a focus on protein engineering, cell and molecular biology, and phage display.

Joon then worked as a Laboratory Manager at VWR, where they provided operational management and support for laboratory scientists. They were also responsible for ensuring laboratory compliance and health and safety documentation.

In 2019, Joon joined Autolus Ltd. as a Team Leader in GMP Quality Control. Finally, in 2020, they joined bit.bio as a Laboratory Compliance Manager.

Joon Leng Boon obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine from the University of Essex in the period from 2002 to 2005. Following this, from 2005 to 2006, Joon pursued a Master's degree in Immunology of Infectious Diseases at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London.
