Juuso Toikka

Juuso Toikka has four years of work experience. In 2020, they co-founded BIT ODD and began working as a Gameplay Programmer in Ubisoft's Graduate Program. From 2017-2020, they worked as a Game & Animation Researcher and Research Assistant at Aalto University School of Science and Technology. During this time, they engineered a method to collect landscape data from high-dimensional neural networks, designed mechanics to promote emergence in physics-based games, and wrote an extended abstract on the topic, which won a design award at CHI Play 2018. In 2016, they worked as a Frontend Developer at POLKU, taking over development of www.polkuapp.com, later bought by, and integrated into, the Smartum platform.

Juuso Toikka obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Aalto University in 2017, followed by a Master's degree in Computer Science from the same university in 2019.
