Ciprian Oprisa

Ciprian Oprisa is currently serving as Principal Security Researcher Lead at Bitdefender's Cyber Threat Intelligence Lab since January 2023 and has been a Lecturer at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca since October 2011, teaching various subjects including Assembly Language Programming and Operating Systems. Previously, Ciprian held roles at Bitdefender from June 2010 to December 2017, including Team Lead in the Antimalware Lab, focusing on heuristic malware detection and machine learning systems for automatic malware signatures. Ciprian's academic credentials include a PhD in Computer Science from the Technical University of Cluj Napoca (2013-2016), a Master's degree in Computer Science (2011-2013), and an Engineering degree in Computer Science (2007-2011), supplemented by education at École normale supérieure de Lyon and a Baccalaureate in Mathematics and Informatics from Colegiul National "Avram Iancu" Brad (2003-2007).
