BiteFX is a software tool created for dentists such that they can better communicate the key concepts of occlusion to their patients. Through the use of animation, BiteFX demonstrates the mechanics of the entire Masticatory System and the interrelation of its component parts. It shows healthy and unhealthy states along with several treatment options. The animations include extensive visual explanations for TMD symptoms and occlusal disease. As the patients can see how their bite ought to work and compare with where it isn't working, they are better equipped and better educated to accept the proper treatment recommendations.
