Richard Phillips

Co-Founder and Co-Lead for Content Development at BiteWorld

Richard Phillips has had a diverse work experience. From 2007 to 2013, they worked as a Health Care Assistant at Celesio UK. In 2007, they also worked as a Warrior on CBBC's "Raven" Series 7. From 2013 to 2017, they worked as a Supervisor in Pharmacology and Biochemistry at Magdalene College Cambridge. In 2019, they became a Supervisor in Pharmacology at Peterhouse and a JASME committee member at the Association for the Study of Medical Education (ASME). Richard also became a Co-Founder and Community Lead at BiteMedicine in 2018. In 2019, they became a Fellow (FHEA) and Associate Fellow (AFHEA) at Advance HE. In 2021, they began working as a Digital Teaching Fellow at Health Education England. Most recently, in 2020, they became a Clinical Teaching Fellow and Academic Foundation Doctor at Sandwell & West Birmingham NHS Trust.

Richard Phillips has a diverse educational background. Richard obtained their BA in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from the University of Cambridge in 2017, followed by their MB BChir in Medicine from the same university in 2020. In 2021, they completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education from the University of Birmingham, and is currently enrolled in a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education at the same university. Prior to this, they attended Ysgol Dyffryn Taf from 2007 to 2014. In addition to their formal education, Richard Phillips has obtained certifications from LinkedIn, the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, and the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA).
