Daniel Melin has a wide range of work experience. Daniel began their career in 2011 as a Freelance Writer for Multiple Employers. In 2014, they became an Assistant Manager at Indy Reads Books and an Americorps Member at United Way of Central Indiana. In 2016, they were hired as an HMIS Associate at the Coalition for Homelessness Intervention and Preventions. In 2017, they were promoted to HMIS Manager at the same organization. In 2019, they became the HMIS Lead Data Analyst at CHIP - Coalition for Homelessness Intervention and Prevention. In 2020, they joined Bitfocus as a Data Services Analyst.

Daniel Melin attended Butler University from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in English with a writing focus.
