Fred Hintz

Data Engineer at Bitfocus

Fred Hintz has had a varied career in data analysis and social services. In 2010, they began working as an HMIS Consultant for Housing Services at Catholic Charities of Onondaga County. The following year, they took a role as Support Staff at the Crawford County Mental Health Awareness Program. In 2012, they returned to Catholic Charities of Onondaga County as a Shelter Aide, providing support and monitoring men who arrived at the shelter, and also worked as Gear Manager/Trip Leader at the Allegheny Outing Club. In 2013, they became a Housing Relocator at Catholic Charities of Onondaga County. From 2015 to 2018, they were a Research Assistant at Utah State University. In 2018, they became a Data Analyst at the Housing and Homeless Coalition of Central New York, and in 2022, they began working as a Data Engineer at Bitfocus, creating technology to advance solutions to social challenges.

Fred Hintz completed their Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Allegheny College in 2013. Fred then went on to earn their Master of Science in Psychometrics and Quantitative Psychology from Utah State University in 2018.
