Kellie Cole has worked in a variety of roles since 2011. In 2011, they worked as a Mental Health Specialist I at Southeast Mental Health Center, where they served as a Case Manager for an average of 60 children and youth with a mental health diagnosis under TennCare. In 2013, they worked as an MSW Intern, Research and Housing Liaison at Promise Development Corporation, where they were skilled in overall program quality assurance by researching eligibility criteria, policy issues, and evidence based practices. Later in 2013, they worked as a Housing and Community Development Research Fellow at The University of Memphis, where they applied research projects to promote innovative policy solutions to critical issues confronting the region's most distressed communities. In 2014, they worked as a Case Manager with the Supportive Services for Veterans Families Grant Program at Memphis Area Legal Services. From 2015 to 2018, they worked at Community Alliance for the Homeless, first as a Project Director and then as a Continuum of Care Planning Director. Currently, they are a Project Manager at Bitfocus, where they create technology that advances solutions to social challenges.

Kellie Cole attended The University of Memphis from 2013 to 2014, where they earned their Master of Social Work (MSW) in Social Work.
