Benson Chen has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering. Benson Chen started their career as an Intern at Yong Long Automotive Group, where they built electric vehicle models and conducted SWOP analysis. Benson Chen then became a Teaching Assistant at National Taipei University of Technology, leading the development and implementation of the powertrain system for an electric racing car.

Following this, Benson joined the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) as a Mechanical Engineer, where they worked on projects related to electric vehicle powertrain systems, parking lock mechanisms, and harmonic drive systems. Benson Chen also optimized designs and improved efficiency through software and analysis tools.

After their time at ITRI, Benson pursued their Ph.D. at Tsinghua University, specializing in vehicle safety and lightweighting. Benson Chen conducted research on crash safety of lithium-ion batteries, impact failure, protection of traction batteries, and energy-absorbing structures. Additionally, they served as a Teaching Assistant for a Volkswagen training course on battery technology.

Most recently, Benson worked at Bitmain, a leading enterprise in the blockchain industry. Benson Chen served as a Structural Engineer, where they focused on reducing chip/die stress by optimizing screw locking sequences. Benson Chen then transitioned to become the Lead of the Product Development Team before taking on their current role as Manager of R&D. In this role, they oversee a team of 20 members and is involved in the company's short and long-term strategic planning.

Benson Chen 陳柏彣 pursued their education in a chronological manner. From 2010 to 2014, they attended National Taipei University of Technology, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Vehicle Engineering. Following this, they enrolled in National Taiwan University from 2014 to 2016, where they earned a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Benson Chen'seducational journey continued at Tsinghua University from 2019 to 2022, where they pursued a Doctorate Degree in the School of Vehicle and Mobility. Benson also obtained several additional certifications, including AVL Training for Cruise from AVL in May 2019, MSC Software Training for Adams View from MSC Software in 2017, and Simutech Training for Abaqus from Simutech Solution Corp. in 2015.
