Stephan Lutz is the Chief Executive Officer of BitMEX, a role held since 2022. Stephan Lutz has over 20 years of experience in finance, capital markets, and crypto markets, with core competencies including liquidity, capital efficiency, latency, reliability, and availability, as well as in customer community, business development, risk management, corporate finance, finance, audit, and treasury. Prior to this, Stephan Lutz served as Group CFO of BitMEX from 2021 to 2023, and held roles at PwC as Partner in Financial Services (Deals & Restructuring) from 2012 to 2015, and Head of HR Germany (Director) at Deutsche Börse AG from 2010 to 2012. Stephan Lutz earned a Master of Science in Economics Banking Capital Markets from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management (1999–2003).
