Bassem Gendy

Bassem Gendy is an experienced engineering manager with a strong background in software development, particularly in Android applications. Currently serving as Engineering Manager at Bitpanda since February 2023, Bassem has previously held roles such as Head of App Development at hello again and Release Manager and Software Engineer Android at Runtastic GmbH. Early in the career, Bassem worked as an Android Developer at Extreme Solution and Orange Labs, contributing to projects including the development of an application for reporting tickets to governmental organizations. Bassem holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Johannes Kepler Universität Linz and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from The German University in Cairo, complemented by secondary education in Mathematics from New Ramses College.
