Joachim Kerschbaumer

Joachim Kerschbaumer is a seasoned technology professional who currently serves as VP of Engineering at Bitpanda, a position held since 2025. Prior to this, they led security operations as the CISO at bank99 from 2021 to 2023 and worked as a Lead Consultant at Devoteam Austria from 2023 to 2025. Joachim's extensive experience includes roles such as Head of Information Security at ING in Österreich and Teamlead Architecture & Product Security at PKE Holding AG. They hold a Dipl.-Ing. in Applied Computer Science from Universität Salzburg, where they studied from 2002 to 2008.
