Michael Birsak

Michael Birsak has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and industries. Michael is currently working at Bitpanda as the Director of Engineering, Ops Hub since May 2023. Before that, they served as a Senior Engineering Manager at the same company from January 2022 to May 2023.

Prior to Bitpanda, Michael worked at hi.health as the Chief Technology Officer from July 2021 to December 2021. Michael also held the positions of Lead Engineer & Head of Engineering from November 2019 to July 2021.

Michael has also worked at Runtastic GmbH as an Engineering Manager from October 2018 to October 2019.

Before that, they gained experience at Allianz Technology, where they held various roles including Lead Customer Engineer, Consultant from October 2016 to September 2018, and Customer Engineer, Consultant from January 2015 to October 2016.

Michael Birsak's education history begins in 2003 when they attended the Liese Prokop Privatschule für Hochleistungssport and obtained a Matura degree. Michael then went on to pursue higher education and from 2009 to 2012, they attended Fachhochschule des BFI Wien where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Information Technology Project Management. In 2012, Michael enrolled at Middlesex University and completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science by 2013.

In addition to their formal education, Michael Birsak has also obtained several certifications. In March 2012, they became a Junior Process Manager through the GP Process Management Association Austria. Later, in October 2019, they achieved the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification and in December 2019, they obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification, both from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
