Robert Golian

Robert Golian has extensive work experience in the IT and cybersecurity fields. Robert is currently working at Bitpanda as the Director of IT Security. Prior to this, they held the position of Information Security Officer Lead at Bitpanda. Before joining Bitpanda, Robert worked at BDO Luxembourg as a Manager in Cybersecurity Advisory. Robert also served as an IT Senior Advisor and IT Advisor at EY, an IT Audit Consultant at KPMG, and a Junior Operations Specialist at Accenture. Robert started their career as an intern in Process Management at Volkswagen AG.

Robert Golian has a diverse educational background and holds several certifications. Robert completed their Bachelor's degree in Public Administration and Regional Department at Ekonomická univerzita v Bratislave from 2010 to 2013. Robert then pursued their Master of Science (MSc.) degree in International Financial Management at The Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg from 2013 to 2015. Additionally, during the same time period, they also obtained an Engineer's degree in International Financial Management from Ekonomická univerzita v Bratislave.

In terms of certifications, Robert Golian obtained various credentials. Robert earned the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services in December 2022. Robert achieved the Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) certification from ISACA in October 2021. Prior to that, in July 2021, they acquired the Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA) certification, also from ISACA. In March 2021, they obtained the Cybersecurity for Industrial Control Systems (210W) certification from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. Furthermore, Robert holds the ITIL Practitioner certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice, which they obtained in July 2018, and the ITIL Foundation certification, achieved in May 2018.
