Alan Porter

Alan Porter is a seasoned software developer with significant experience in various technology companies. Currently at BitSight Technologies since 2016, Alan specializes as a full-stack web developer with a focus on security. Prior to this, Alan worked at Cisco from 2014 to 2016 as a web and cloud developer, contributing to the development of a cloud-based security product within an agile team. Alan's earlier experience includes roles at Oracle from 2006 to 2014 as a Linux software developer, developing web applications for cellular data networks, and at TMIO from 2004 to 2006 as an embedded Linux engineer, creating an embedded platform for kitchen appliances. Alan began a career at Ericsson from 1998 to 2003 as an embedded software engineer, working on mobile phones and prototype gadgets. Alan holds a Master of Computer Science degree from NC State University, obtained from 1997 to 2000.
