André MacHado

André Machado is a Senior Security Researcher at Bitsight since September 2025, bringing extensive experience in security research. Previously, André held the position of Experienced Security Researcher at Checkmarx from May 2021 to September 2025, where responsibilities included researching programming languages' impacts on products and conducting studies for new language support. Earlier roles at Checkmarx included Junior Security Researcher and Experienced Application Security Analyst, where André focused on source code analysis, vulnerability identification and research, and development of internal tools. Additional experience includes positions at Plurisoluções as an IT Specialist and NETIUM in the Professional and Entrepreneurship Department. Administrative duties were performed at the Associação Portuguesa dos Contratos Públicos. André holds a Mestrado Integrado in Telecommunications and Computer Engineering from Universidade do Minho.
