Ben Edwards is an accomplished research scientist with extensive experience in data science and cybersecurity. Currently serving as a Principal Research Scientist at Bitsight since November 2023, Edwards previously held key positions at Cyentia Institute from January 2019 to November 2023 as a Partner and Senior Data Scientist. Prior to that, Edwards was a Research Staff Member and Postdoctoral Researcher at IBM from August 2016 to January 2019. Academically, Edwards holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from The University of New Mexico (2006-2016) and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Computational and Applied Mathematics and Computer Engineering from South Dakota Mines (2001-2006).
