James Hillier

James Hillier is the CFO at BitSight. Prior to joining BitSight, James served as Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis and Investor Relations at IPG Photonics from January 2017 to August 2020. While at IPG Photonics, James implemented and led the Financial Planning & Analysis team, enhancing forecasting and business partnering.

From October 2015 to January 2017, James served as Vice President of Investor Relations at Demandware, a Salesforce company. While at Demandware, James led the investor relations function as trusted advisor to CFO, CEO, executive leadership team and Board of Directors. In 2016, Demandware was acquired by Salesforce for $2.8 billion. James was a member of the pre-acquisition deal team and post-acquisition integration team.

From June 2015 to May 2020, James served on the Board of Directors & as Past President of NIRI Boston (National Investor Relations Institute - Boston Chapter). As President (2018-19), James was responsible for the management and strategic direction of this non-profit organization that includes approximately 150 investor relations professionals.

Prior to joining PTC in September 2013, James served as Director of Technology Strategy & Communications Equipment Research at UBS Investment Bank from October 2000 to September 2013.

James Hillier began their educational career at the University of Pennsylvania, where they received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and English. James then pursued a series of financial industry certifications from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), including the Series 86, 87, and 7. James also holds a certification from the NASAA in Series 63.

They work with Stephen Boyer - Co-Founder & CTO, Catherine Harrell - Chief Marketing Officer, and Mark Desautelle - Chief Customer Officer. Their manager is Steve Harvey, CEO.
