Mark Tompkins

Mark Tompkins is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in API development and big data processing. At BitSight Technologies since May 2012, Mark serves as Principal Software Engineer and API Lead, overseeing the design and optimization of over 500 APIs, while leading the company’s Co-op program. Prior to BitSight, Mark held positions including Principal Software Engineer at EXFO, where network testing software was developed for distributed platforms, and Co-founder/Senior Technologist at Buyer’s Wiz, creating a CGI back-end engine for a price comparison website. Mark holds a Master of Engineering in Computer Science from MIT, where a thesis project focused on scheduling algorithms for distributed autonomous agents was completed.
